This third event of the Superonda lecture series Handcrafting Digital Transition, will adress the issue of Heritage.

More specifically, in what manner can traditional handcraft techniques actively maintain cultural heritage?

“Boulouki – Itinerant Workshop on Traditional Building Techniques”. Founded in 2018, based in Athens and active in various locations in Greece, Boulouki is a research-and-practice collective, dedicated to the study of traditional craftsmanship as an embodied and inherently situated form of knowledge. Our activities encompass ethnographic fieldwork, applied seminars and participatory building projects, organized in collaboration with local communities and international institutions and experts. In Greek Boulouki means “gaggle”, travelling group, a name evoking the travelling companies of stone masons and craftspeople.
