The "IBM Research" prize - sponsored by IBM Research GmbH Zurich Research Laboratory - rewards a doctoral thesis or a masters project, undertaken at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. It is aimed at promoting research in computational sciences and recognises outstanding projects developing advanced modelling and simulation methods or their applications to important topics in diverse areas of science (physics, chemistry, and biology) and engineering.
The prize is awarded alternatively for a Doctoral Thesis (even years, applications to the Research Commission no later than October 15) and for a Masters Project (odd years, applications to the Academic Registrar's Office no later than August 14)
Amount: 4,000.- for a Doctoral thesis, CHF 2,500.- for a masters project
