The BIOP continues its series on practically related light microscopy courses. We are happy to announce the second edition of a topic that was chosen based on your input: ‘Imaging Thick Specimen, clearing and other clever tricks' .

It will teach and demonstrate how to optimally acquire images of large fixed specimen (organoids, mouse brains, large tissue sections) on three different microscopes:
- Zeiss LSM980 confocal microscope with Airyscan detector.
- Zeiss LightSheet Z1 microscope.
- Leica SP8 / Fluoview 4000

We also propose you to image your sample! Please check the registration form for more information.

The course is open to everyone from EPFL and registration is free of charge. However, unjustified late cancellations (less than 3 working days before the course date) and no shows will be charged with a fee of CHF 250. It is expected that participants are familiar with the basic concepts of light microscopy and have used a microscope recently.
