Category Call for proposal

Every year, the Scientific Steering Committee of the Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP) chooses 3 thematic programs on the basis of their scientific excellence, their thematic relevance and their original, interdisciplinary and innovative character. The goal of the thematic quarters is to develop, over a three-month period, extensive reflection around an advanced research topic in mathematics or theoretical physics. The themes addressed during these quarters range from theoretical mathematics to nearly experimental physics, to applied (or practical!) mathematics that could lead to industrial applications: in a word, the whole spectrum of mathematical sciences. The thematic programmes involve symposia, classes (possibly at PhD level) and seminars.

The IHP provides financial support to researchers to participate in its current thematic programme:  “Reinventing Rational Points” (15 April, 2019 - 12 July, 2019).

Who can apply: professors, researchers, students, French and foreigners). The participation of postdocs and PhD students is strongly encouraged.

Financial support: up to EUR 120’000.

Deadline for financial support: 15 September 2018
