Discover how the da Vinci robotic-assisted systems are changing surgery forever
Now ranking # 5 in the new Fortune Future 50, Intuitive (www.intuitive.com) was founded in 1995 to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Since da Vinci® became one of the first robotic-assisted systems cleared by the FDA for general laparoscopic surgery, it’s taken robotic-assisted surgery from “science fiction” to reality. Working with doctors and hospitals, Intuitive continues to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
With a turnover of 3.1 billion USD in 2017 and a market capitalization of 65 billion USD, Intuitive is now an established leader in minimally invasive surgical platforms.
Jean-Yves Raimon, VP International Finance and Operations, will share with us Intuitive’s history, milestones and key success factors, while
Jonathan Sorger, VP Research, will address the topic of minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery, trends and challenges ahead.
Please note that a functional da Vinci Xi system, one of Intuitive’s most advanced surgical platforms will be on display at IMD the afternoon before the event and available for test drives.
Those interested in testing their ability please contact sergepittet@me.com stating the time slot(s) preferred. The groups will be made on a first come first serve approach and a confirmation e-mail with the time slot will be sent to test drives participants.
A networking cocktail, giving you the opportunity to talk directly to the speakers and/or look at the Xi system, will follow the event.
On behalf of the Club Committee, we look forward to seeing many of you at what promises to be an informative and insightful event.
