All users of ionizing sources must be fully aware of the associated risks and of how these sources can be used safely.
OHS offers a training course tailored for anyone who uses, handles, stores, or is responsible for the safety of ionizing radiation sources.

The training raises awareness of related hazards, enabling participants to identify risks and adopt safe work practices regarding:

open and sealed sources,
X-ray and gamma-ray generating equipment,
equipment failures and accidents,
personal protection and activity optimization.

Online trainings on radiation safety are already available on Moodle. The in-person course provides the opportunity to carry out practical exercises, including personal protection and decontamination, use of detectors and radioactive waste management.
