We are pleased to inform you that due to the excellent comments we got after its first version, we are organising a new exiting workshop on “Job-Search outside the University” that will take place on January 17th 2015, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM, in room AI 1153.This workshop is leaded by Verity Elston, who conducts ongoing qualitative and quantitative research on careers for doctorate holders in Switzerland and in Europe. The workshop reviews the current employment situation for postdocs in Life Sciences and their options in the private and public sectors. It helps participants to identify opportunities for a career path outside the university environment. It consists of a full day of presentations, discussions and practical exercises to explore career development for researchers in the Life Sciences, in Switzerland and elsewhere.
The cost of the course is 100 CHF, including a coffee break (you will be asked to pay only if there are still spots available).
Please take note that lunch is not provided, so you are expected to bring your own food.
The course is for a maximum of 15 people and it's open to the whole scientific SV community, however because of the limited number of participants the registration priority will be given to postdoctoral researchers and to SV-postdoc association members.
