Aim:  The newly funded Wellcome Trust ’Advanced Therapies for Regenerative Medicine’ programme will train a new generation of researchers in advanced therapies that underpin regenerative medicine. The programme is designed for postgraduate students who wish to carry out high quality lab-based fundamental research and find solutions to challenging medical problems. The programme provides an interdisciplinary training. PhD supervisors have been selected across departments from King’s campuses, for their expertise in core areas of relevance to regenerative medicine, including cell transplantation, gene therapy and endogenous tissue repair.  Six students will be selected each year to commence the programme the following September.

Funding: All students will have their university fees paid in full – regardless of their country of origin or prior study. In addition to having all fees paid, each student will receive a generous stipend.

Duration: Four years

Eligibility: These studentships are open to candidates of any nationality. Candidates must have a UK upper second or first class undergraduate degree (predicted / previously obtained) or an international equivalent.

How to Apply: The application process is designed to monitor and maximise  diversity and inclusion.  It therefore contains two separate parts:
  • Part A – Application through the King’s Admissions Portal. You will need to fill in certain sections on the admissions portal and upload an ATRM Application Document.
