Compressed air is typically one of the main consumers of energy in a plant. The overall efficiency of a compressed air system can be as low as 10%-15%. Despite this, devices such as linear actuators - using compressed air - are the industry standard, used in manufacturing facilities worldwide. From pharma to electronics, from automotive and robotics to the food & packaging industry, pneumatic actuators are used on automated machines to produce every type of goods.

KOMP-ACT's mission is to accelerate the transition to a fully electric and sustainable industrial automation by developing innovative electric technologies. KOMP-ACT’s solutions are cost-effective, compact sized and lightweight, and can directly replace the compressed air systems currently used to supply actuators and other devices. We look forward to reducing (in Europe alone) energy waste and CO2 emissions amounting to 4 BEUR and 50 Million Tons per year respectively.

Furthermore, pneumatic devices are also used in other industries such as aeronautics and transportation.

Our long-term goal is to make our technology the new standard for every industry from ground to space.
