In May 2019, the world-famous urban planning agency Gehl surveyed the streets of Lausanne with the help of a dozen architects and urban planners. In collaboration with the City of Lausann and EPFL Public Space Studio, this workshops, which took place over a week, aimed at assessing the quality of the city's public space system. From the data gathered by the participants, Gehl has produced a report, which will soon be made public.

In this discussion, Fabien Roland and Anne Juillet, collaborators of the Division Espaces Publics of the City of Lausanne present the key points of the report, and highlight the process behind the project in relation to future directions in the planning of Lausanne's public spaces.

The discussion will be followed by an apero offered by the City of Lausanne.
