Mathieu Arnoux presentation will focus on the importance of water- and wind-power in the energetical mix of European societies before the industrial revolution. The investigation of records preserved about water- and wind-mills of the Paris region will be presented as a preliminary stage for a comprehensive inquiry on the geography of energy supply organization and a complex system analysis of its evolution.
Patricia Bordin presentation will focus on the “in between" space in the modeling process of geographical information for the GIS. From there she will present a multi-level observation method for the follow-up of geographical phenomena with GIS.
