The Digital and Cognitive Musicology Lab (DCML) at EPFL is excited to announce a music theory masterclass on "Schenkerian and Tonfeld Theory for Music Analysis".
This four-day intensive workshop focuses on analytical applications of established and more recent hierarchical theories of tonal music.
It will be given by two renowned experts on music analysis according to Heinrich Schenker and Albert Simon.
This masterclass presupposes an advanced level of music theoretical and analytical skills. Previous experience in Schenkerian and Tonfeld theory are required.
Admissions to the masterclass will be made on a case-by-case basis.
