Abstract:
This presentation will delve into the significant advancements robotic surgery has made in the treatment of head and neck cancer over the past 15 years. Our discussion will cover the remarkable benefits of robotic surgery, including enhanced precision, improved dexterity, and minimally invasive procedures, leading to reduced complications and better patient outcomes.
Furthermore, we will address the current state of research, highlighting the predominance of retrospective studies and the urgent need for large-scale randomized trials to establish the clinical effectiveness and safety of robotic surgery in this field. The presentation aims to underscore the necessity of prospective studies to validate these benefits and explore the potential for wider application in treating head and neck cancer.
We will explore how robotic surgery is shaping the future of oncological treatment and the steps needed to integrate this innovative technology into standard treatment protocols.
