Meet me in the Library – Fête de la Danse 2014
at EPFL’s Rolex Learning Center
During the "Fête de la Danse 2014", the mg2+ dance company will perform its piece “Meet me in the Library” on the slopes of the Rolex Learning Center at EPFL.
The Dance Festival, held from the 2nd to the 4th of May, is three days of dancing in theatres, cultural centers, and public spaces. Twenty cities in Switzerland including Lausanne and one city in France will participate. This year, EPFL will take on an active role, hosting a performance in its Rolex Learning Center library.
The performance at EPFL will be about the silence that reigns during an encounter, that fleeting moment before the first word is spoken. In the library’s muffled silence, the dancers delicately disturb the stillness of the student’s daily lives. Between the brushing up of bodies and the ruffling of pages, a speechless dialogue emerges.
