Aim: The Michael J. Fox Foundation seeks applications with potential for fundamentally altering disease course and/or significantly improving treatment of symptoms above and beyond current standards of care. Proposals must have a well-defined plan for moving toward clinical utility for patients. The Therapeutic Pipeline Program is open to industry and academic investigators proposing novel approaches or repositioning therapies from non-Parkinson's indications. Funding is available for pre-clinical and clinical studies of disease-modifying or symptomatic drugs and non-pharmacological therapeutics.
 
In addition, the Therapeutic Pipeline program supports research on applied technologies such as assistive and wearable devices. Full details are available in the RFA.
 
Funding:        Maximum USD $500’000 (preclinical)
                      Maximum USD $500’000 (applied technologies)
                      Maximum USD $2’000’000 (clinical)
 
Duration:      1-2 years (pre-clinical)
                     1-2 years (applied technologies)
                     2-3 years (clinical)
 
Eligibility: Researchers at all academic levels at or above Assistant Professor are eligible to apply.
 
How to Apply: The pre-proposal is the first step in the application. Pre-proposals must be completed in the online application portal.  Successful applicants will be given further instructions for submitting a full proposal.

Deadline (Full Application, by invitation): 19 July 2019 (5:00 pm EST)
