Research Grants are awarded to independent, established investigators to accelerate progress toward understanding and treating neuromuscular disease.
As part of MDA's basic research program, the grants funded focus on advancing basic science and generating ideas for potential drug therapies through projects initiated by the researchers themselves.
Duration: up to 3 years
Funding: USD $100’000/year
Eligibility:
- Open to US and non-US institutions.
- Hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) or equivalent degree (i.e. D.O.).
- Be a professional or faculty member (professor, associate professor, or assistant professor) at an appropriate educational, medical, corporate or research institution.
How to Apply: Letters of Intent must first be submitted via ProposalCentral. If the LOI is successful, the applicant will be invited to submit a full proposal.
