A new call for NCCR projects will be launched during the first half of 2017, which aims for the selected NCCRs to start by the end of 2019.
As reminder, the NCCRs aim at strengthening Swiss research in areas of strategic importance for the future of Swiss science, business and society.
In particular the NCCRs aim at:
If you have a project where EPFL could be the leading house, we would like to encourage you to declare your intention to the Dean of your school by December 15th, 2016.

- Improving the distribution of work among research institutions in Switzerland and at improving their international integration;
- Establishing a network of collaborations and partnerships between the academic and non-academic public and private sectors;
- Maintaining links to the potential users of research results in order to make a contribution to knowledge and technology transfer;
- Supporting talented doctoral students and postdocs as well as improving the career prospects of women in research.
