Event details

Date 01.05.2022
Category Call for proposal

The ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program consists of 5 measures to foster and improve ORD practices with the broader aim of advancing Open Science among ETH Domain researchers and institutions. The overall aim of the first measure of the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program is to support researchers engaging in or developing ORD practices with and for their community(-ies) and to assist these researchers in becoming Open Science leaders in their field(s). The calls for proposals are organized along three different tracks: Contribute, Explore and Establish projects. Contribute and Explore calls have been launched recently.

What: The ETH Domain is now launching a call for pre-proposals for Establish projects

Funding for “Establish projects” aims at putting the resources to fully establish promising ORD practices, once their scientific value is demonstrated and they have attracted sizable and international communities. These projects should bring their infrastructures, community management and scientific vision to the next level and further grow their community(-ies).
Notice that these projects must be focused on ORD practices and not on the services & infrastructures (S&I), which they rely upon.

Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Funding is available for projects with a duration of up to 36-months with an overall budget that must not exceed CHF 1.5 million.

Pre-proposals can be received from the six ETH Domain institutions: EPFL, ETHZ, PSI, WSL, Empa, Eawag.

Guidelines for the pre-proposal can be found here

How to apply: online application platform.

Deadline: 1 May 2022 (17:00 CEST)
