Nokia Research Center Lausanne is a multidisciplinary research lab situated on EPFL campus. In an attempt to highlight recent scientific, technological, and market trends around the rapidly evolving mobile industry, NRC-Lausanne is organizing a speaker series, which brings senior names from the industry and academia to the EPFL campus. The topics are chosen with the aim of providing mobile specific views to timely topics, such as sustainability, energy, health care, as well as urbanization. To facilitate the exchange of ideas among the presenters and the audience, the presentations are combined with a light lunch.

You are invited to the opening event of the speaker series, on 19.4.2012.  Dr. Petteri Alinikula, Director, Sustainability, Nokia Corp, will be opening the speaker series with a presentation titled: Doing Good is Good for Business.

Summary of presentation: Nokia has been a leading company in integrating sustainability in its products, processes and supply chain. New, even more impactful, opportunities appear when we help people in their everyday lives. The presentation will touch on both of these areas and their relation to Nokia’s business.
