Pro Helvetia is pleased to offer young Swiss designers the opportunity to participate in a major event for the design branch: the Milan Design Week (13-18 April 2021).
For the first time, Pro Helvetia is excited to collaborate with Alcova, a platform for independent design which activates forgotten locations of historical significance in and around Milan, temporarily recasting them as venues for exhibition and events.
Located in three historical buildings of a former military hospital, immersed in a luxuriant park, Alcova will host over 50 exhibitors including the Design Switzerland exhibition.
The selection of the participating studios is made through this present call for participation, open until 22 November 2020.
Through this call, Pro Helvetia is looking for projects that have in common ambitious and radically new solutions to current challenges. They should significantly improve people’s lives in an innovative, smart, engaging and sparkling way in fields such as product design, mobility, environment, well-being or health.
Project owners may submit a project up to seven years after completing their studies or founding their company.
Who can apply: this call is open for designers who are Swiss citizens or permanently reside in Switzerland.
