"Business-School Education and Its Effects on Manufacturing Industry Performance"
Abstract
This research studies the effects of business-school education on the long-run performance of manufacturing industry. Specifically, the project examines the creation and development of business schools in the US, and its influence on manufacturing firms’ long-run outcomes, such as employment, productivity, and profitability. The results might help us understand the divergent, fast-growing path that American industries took since the late 19th century, and contribute to contemporary policy discussions on how to use professional education to boost economic growth in the developing world.
