Last chance to apply for SERI Seed Money Grants with ASEAN countries!
Eligible partner countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The call is open to all scientific disciplines and fields of research. It allows Swiss and ASEAN partners to initiate new projects together, establish new research partnerships, connect existing but separately funded research projects and develop a joint project proposal.
Who can apply:
Funding & Duration: max. CHF 10’000 for up to 12 months.

Who can apply:
- As PI: senior scientist with a permanent position at an eligible Swiss institution. Applications by doctoral students must be submitted by their supervisors.
- As Partner: researcher holding a faculty or senior scientist position or a doctoral degree (or equivalent) with several years of research experience) affiliated with a university or a public research institute from one of the partner countries.
Funding & Duration: max. CHF 10’000 for up to 12 months.
- Eligible costs: salary (only in preparation of a joint proposal), roundtrip flight, accommodation, consumables and equipment for meetings. Young researchers’ salary is NOT eligible as this is covered by Mobility Grants.
- Cash and in-kind contributions from both the Swiss and the ASEAN partner are expected.
