[SNSF Ambizione - Research Funding]

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) awards Ambizione grants to young outstanding postdoctoral researchers in all disciplines who intend to pursue an academic career at a Swiss research institution. The purpose of the Ambizione grant is to enhance researchers' scientific profile and to help them to become scientifically independent at an early stage in their career by conducting, managing and leading their own research project.
An Ambizione grant with salary covers the grantee's salary and the funds needed to carry out the project. An Ambizione project grant, however, comprises only project funds.
 
Funding and duration

• Funding amount: max. 400’000 CHF for 4 years (project funds) + PI’s salary
• Duration: 24 to 48 months (earliest start September 2019)

• EPFL internal deadline: October 15^th 2018 (see complete procedure in the EPFL Application Package)
• SNSF submission deadline: November 1^st 2018 (Application must be submitted on the mySNF.ch platform)

• An Applicant workshop will take place on September 20^th 2018, with the participation of an SNSF Officer. If you have already a Host Professor willing to host you (i.e Host Professor signed the Ambizione Registration Form), please send an email to the Research Office to register.
