The Swiss Research Foundation for Electricity and Mobile Communication (FSM) supports innovative research on EMF-technologies and associated electromagnetic fields focusing on short-, medium- and long-term impacts on health, society, and environment.
In 2023, FSM will award a total amount of CHF 100,000 for research projects related to questions of acceptance of infrastructures in the field of electricity and mobile communications, such as for example alpine photovoltaic plants, charging stations for electric vehicles or base stations for mobile communications.
Who can apply: Public and private research institutions and researchers can apply for participation, in Switzerland and abroad. See the past supported projects here.
Eligible costs: personnel costs and extraordinary expenses for field investigations (equipment, consumables, expenses, etc.). Standard equipment (office equipment, laboratory apparatus) and congress travel expenses are not financed.
Project outlines must be submitted on the pre-proposal form. The outlines should be short, ideally up to two A4 pages. They will be evaluated by the FSM scientific committee. The applicants of the selected outlines will then be asked to specify their applications in a full proposal.
