SwissKitePower (www.swisskitepower.ch) is a collaborative research and development project between FHNW ETH EMPA and Alstom. The goal of the project is to develop novel wind energy extraction technology using tethered wings and to eventually install a pilot plant system within Switzerland. Simulated and experimental results from initial prototype testing will be presented along with the plans for the next years of the project.
