Karin Mayer Rubinstein is the CEO & President of Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), Israel’s Umbrella Organization of the High-tech, Life Science and other advanced technology industries, with hundreds of paying members from every level and aspect of the ecosystem, including Venture Capital Funds, Israeli R&D Centers of Multinational Companies, Start-Ups, Incubators & Accelerators, leading global Stock Exchanges, Tech Transfer Organization, Academic Institutions, Innovation Centers, Hospitals, Municipalities, Service Providers and more.

Through this broad range of members, IATI connects Israel’s tech ecosystem, provides solutions and support at all levels, and integrates the various sectors of the industry with strategic and ongoing governmental goals. Prior to her current position, Karin served as a senior partner and managing director of business development in leading commercial law firms. Karin is a member of Advisory Boards and Steering Committees of leading industry organizations, a Member of the Board of Governance of Tel Aviv University and a Board Member of Israel-America Chamber of Commerce. Karin is a keynote speaker at many leading global conferences.

During her visit to Switzerland, Karin Mayer Rubinstein has the opportunity to stop at the EPFL Innovation park to give a lecture on The Israeli High-Tech & Health-Tech Ecosystem: How Israel became “a startup nation”. She will address the following topics: Israel at a glance; The high tech & health tech main achievements; The ecosystem sectors, main trends, challenges and success ingredients, the opportunities for collaboration with Israeli technology and tech industry and the future the Israeli tech and health tech eco systems.

The opening speech will be given by Yair Shiran, Minister, Commercial Affairs, Deputy Permanent Representative to the WTO, Permanent Mission of Israel.

The event will be in English, an apéritif will follow the conference.
