Abstract:
The obstacle problem is one of the most classical free boundary problems. In this problem free boundary points are only of two kinds: regular and singular. Around regular points the free boundary is a smooth hypersurface, while around singular points it can be much wilder, but some nice results are still available. In this talk I will give a brief overview of what is known about the set of singular points and present a recent joint work with Wiktoria Zatoń.
