Event details

Date 15.07.2020
Category Call for proposal
Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Kidney Cancer Research Program (KCRP) Awards. The KCRP Concept Award supports highly innovative, untested, potentially groundbreaking novel concepts in kidney cancer. The Concept Award is not intended to support an incremental progression of an already established research project but, instead, it allows Principal Investigators (PIs) the opportunity to pursue serendipitous observations. This award mechanism supports high-risk studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation. Research completed through a Concept Award may generate sufficient preliminary data to enable the PI to prepare an application for future research.

Funding:        max. $100’000

Duration:      1 year

Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions. All investigators at or above the level of postdoctoral fellow (or equivalent) are eligible.

How to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information, a letter of intent, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.
