Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Traumatic Brain Injury Research Program (TBIRP) for 2018. The Complex Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Research – Clinical Research Award is intended to support clinical research focused on understanding the clinical sequelae and mechanisms of recovery associated with TBI and TBI rehabilitation interventions. The FY18 PH/TBIRP CTRR-CRA mechanism supports applied and translational clinical research to advance the development of knowledge and materiel products for rehabilitation and restoration of function following TBI. Applicants should explain how their work will inform the development, refinement, and/or revision of existing standards of care, clinical recommendations, or guidelines.
 
Funding: Maximum USD $ 2M
 
Duration: 3 years
 
Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators at all academic levels are eligible to apply.
 
How to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information, a list of collaborators and key personnel, a preproposal narrative, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.
