Event details

Date 26.06.2018
Category Call for proposal
Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Lunch Cancer Research Program (LCRP) for 2018. The Investigator-Initiated Translational Research Award supports translational research that will develop promising ideas in lung cancer into clinical applications.

Observations that drive a research idea may originate from a laboratory discovery, population-based studies, or a clinician’s firsthand knowledge of patient care. The ultimate goal of translational research is to move a concept or observation forward into clinical application.

Preliminary data to support the feasibility of the research hypotheses and research approaches are required; however, these data do not necessarily need to be derived from studies of lung cancer.

The LCRP seeks to support research that is relevant to the healthcare needs of military Service members, Veterans, and their families. Military relevance will be considered in determining relevance to the mission of the FY18 LCRP during programmatic review.

Funding: Maximum USD $ 400’000
