Event details

Date 02.10.2019
Category Call for proposal
Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Melanoma Research Program (VRP) for 2019. The Concept Award supports the exploration of a highly innovative new concept or untested theory that addresses an important problem relevant to melanoma. The Concept Award is not intended to support an incremental progression of an already established research project but, instead, allows Principal Investigators (PIs) the opportunity to pursue serendipitous observations. This award mechanism supports early studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation.

To meet the intent of the award mechanism, applications to the FY19 MRP Concept Award must address research in one or more of the following Focus Areas listed at the end of this announcement.

Funding:        Maximum USD $ 75’000

Duration:      1 year

Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions. All investigators at or above the level of postdoctoral fellow (or equivalent) are eligible to be named as the PI of the application.

How to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information, a list of collaborators and key personnel, a Letter of Intent, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.
