Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Parkinson’s Research Program (PRCRP) for 2019. The Investigator-Initiated Research Award supports highly rigorous, multidisciplinary, high-impact research projects that have the potential to make an important contribution to Parkinson’s disease research and/or patient care. This award mechanism supports the full spectrum of research from basic science through clinical research that specifically focuses on scientific and clinical Parkinson’s disease issues, which, if successfully addressed, have the potential to make a major impact in understanding, preventing, diagnosing, or treating Parkinson’s disease or enhancing the well-being of individuals experiencing the impact of the disease..
 
Funding: Maximum USD $ 1’500’000
 
Duration: 3 years
 
Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at or above the level of Assistant Professor are eligible to apply.
 
How to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information, a list of collaborators and key personnel, a letter of intent, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.
