Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed Alzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) for 2018. The intent of the PRARP Convergence Science Research Award is to support efforts to generate research resources, tools, or novel research efforts for researchers and/or practitioners in health sciences related to the PRARP’s mission. The research impact for the FY18 PRARP RPA is expected to benefit the military, Veteran, and civilian communities.
 
Applications must address one or more of the FY18 PRARP CSRA Overarching Challenges. In addition, applications should address at least one of the following FY18 PRARPCSRA Focus Areas. These Challenges and Focus Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.
 
Funding: Maximum USD $ 500’000
 
Duration: 3 years
 
Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at the level of Assistant Professor or higher are eligible to submit applications.  
 
How to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information, a list of collaborators and key personnel, a letter of intent, and supporting documents as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.
