More than two hundred testimonies from the entire EPFL community have been reviewed and analyzed by philosophers Agustin Casalia and Chris Younès. Through their insights and collective discussions, this meeting will be an opportunity to share our thoughts on being an architect, the future of the profession and of the discipline, and to sketch a portrait of the many faces of our great family of EPFL architects.
Biographies
Agustin Casalia is a philosopher and lawyer - DEA in Philosophy from the UNED (Madrid); Master II in International Environmental Law from the Graduate Institute (Geneva). He works as a Daseinsanalyst and lecturer. He regularly publishes articles in the Argentine newspaper La Nacion. His interest in the question of spatiality and inhabitation has led him to collaborate with architectural firms such as 'Kunik de Morsier architects' and Universities in architecture such as the University Guido Di Tella in Argentina.
Chris Younès is a psychosociologist, PhD and HDR in philosophy, professor at the Special School of Architecture (Paris), founder of the Gerphau laboratory and of the thematic scientific network PhilAU (philosophy, architecture, urban), founding member of ARENA (architectural research european network) and member of the scientific council of Europan. She is the author of several books on the metamorphosis of inhabited environments, including Architectures de l'existence. Ethics. Aesthetics. Politique (2018).
