Transversal Skills and Career Centre – CCTC, in close collaboration with 3T PLAY, was pleased to host a talk by Michelle J. Eady, an associate professor at the University of Wollongong, Australia, on the topic of work-integrated learning. The session was recorded and the link to the recording is provided below.
Michelle is known for her work on the T-shaped student within the scholarship of teaching and learning, referring to students having deep disciplinary and technical knowledge and wide understanding and capacity in terms of transversal skills. More recently, Michelle has been working with her team on work-integrated learning, which led to proposing a framework across the university and mapping different types of work-integrated learning across all degrees and levels of study.
We had a great opportunity to hear her speak about the concepts, the process and the results, as well as a chance to discuss how the models apply and in what ways for the context we have at EPFL.
