Abstract:
Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 thin-film solar cells have been produced and analysed for more than 20 years at the Helmholtz Center Berlin (former Hahn-Meitner Institute Berlin). The seminar presentation will give an overview of open questions in research and development of these solar cells and how electron microscopy and its related techniques may be important tools for providing answers to these questions. Particularly, recent results from cathodoluminescence measurements combined with electron backscatter diffraction and electron-beam-induced current measurements will be presented.
