Energy & Resources Forum IV

The Zero Emission Group (ZEG) is a student-led association of EPFL and UNIL devoted to raising awareness and catalysing action for a sustainable transition. One of its main teams, led by Raphaël Mosca and Ginevra Larroux, is dedicated to the organisation of the 4th edition of the Energy & Resources Forum (ERF IV), which will take place at the Rolex Forum on Monday 7th April 2025.
The main objective is to bring together key stakeholders from science, industry, business, and policy to envision a sustainable future within the resource boundaries of our planet. More specifically, we aim at raising awareness among the academic community of EPFL and UNIL (and not solely) on the challenges and opportunities that climate change and the energy transition present.

The event will feature a series of panels, masterclasses, and a final discussion. The speakers were selected based on their expertise and are invited to deliver speeches and engage in thoughtful discussions. Like for the previous edition of the event, most activities will be moderated by Karin Frei. A standout aspect of this event is the emphasis placed on the questions from the audience, providing the students and other participants with numerous opportunities to engage directly with the speakers by asking their questions.

• The building sector;
• The food sector;
• Narratives and language for the ecological transition;
• Local energy communities;
• Citizens’ participation as an essential precondition for the required (radical) change;
