Fair dispersion of latex polymer and control of component grain size are key properties to achieve taylored building material (i.e. ultra high strength concrete, self-levelling floor, or exterior insulation composite system) (Jenny [1], De gasparo [2], Foray [3], Merlin [4]). As final material properties are governed by the complex texture of the organic/inorganic hydrated comatrix, (i) measurement of the mechanical properties of each phase, and (ii) caracterisation of the geometrical features and the texture of each phases (Zingg [5]) could help in formulating new durable construction materials.
