Swing EPFL-UNIL and Transport Lausanne (TL) Big Band proudly present: Festive Swing 2024!

Get ready for December 17, Tuesday, at the Grande Salle du Motty, where we’ll come together to celebrate community, culture, and connection with an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and festive cheer.

The Concept: Celebrating Cultural Diversity
With over 130 nationalities represented at EPFL and UNIL, Festive Swing 2024 is all about embracing the richness of our diverse backgrounds. For many, the festive season is a time of joy and togetherness. For those who can’t travel home, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate with our local community in Écublens.

To make it even more special, you’re invited to come in festive attire from the culture you feel closest to – whether that’s traditional clothing, holiday-themed outfits like Santa Claus, or simply your favorite jeans and t-shirt. It’s all about being yourself and enjoying the evening your way. Participation is completely voluntary, and everyone is welcome!

What’s Happening:
Live Music by Transport Lausanne Big Band:
From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, TL Big Band will take the stage with danceable Swing classics, creating the perfect soundtrack for an amazing night.

Free Lindy Hop Dance Initiation:
7:30 PM - 8:15 PM

No partner needed – we’ll rotate!
No experience required – everyone can join!
This is your chance to try something new, meet people, and even get a fun cardio workout while learning one of the most joyful social dances.
For Everyone:
Not a dancer? No problem! Bring your family and friends to enjoy the live music, soak in the festive atmosphere, and share an evening of laughter and connection.
