This presentation will describe some relevant evolutions in quantum optics, and illustrate them by experiments that have been realized at the Institut d’Optique, in Orsay then in Palaiseau. One will thus speak about single photon interferences, experimental tests of Bell’s inequalities, and current progress in manipulating single atoms and photons for quantum technologies.
