I will discuss a way of compactifying the moduli stack of maps from smooth curves to a quotient stack, when the latter has a projective good moduli space and a properly stable point. One application of this result is the construction of certain moduli of fibered log Calabi-Yau pairs. This is a joint work with Giovanni Inchiostro.
