Horizon Europe is the new Framework Programme of the European Commission for Research and Innovation.
Cluster 5 is a combination of three interrelated themes: Climate, Energy and Mobility. It is a major element of Pillar II of Horizon Europe (Global Challenges & European Industrial Competitiveness) with an expected budget of over 15 billion Euros i.e. about 1/6 of the total budget of Horizon Europe. Nearly a third of all collaborative H2020 projects of EPFL were (or still are) related to the three themes of Cluster 5.
Aim
Horizon Europe will support Researchers and Innovators to fight climate change, improve the competitiveness of the energy and transport industry as well as the quality of the services that these sectors bring to society. With this session you will discover the funding opportunities of Horizon Europe available in 2021-22 in your field and how to apply for them.
You can find a draft of the Work Programme for Cluster 5 here (click on Climate, energy and mobility… February 2021 version 2*).
The official Calls should open in April.
The first deadlines are expected in late August this year.
Programme
The event will start with a very brief presentation of three centers directly related to the themes of Cluster 5, CEN, TRACE and CLIMACT.
Then, National Contact Points will describe in details the funding opportunities for the three topics Climate, Energy and Mobility.
