Aim: The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) is working to improve health by speeding up the development of, and patient access to, the next generation of medicines. This is mainly accomplished through partnerships between entities in the private and public sectors. To this end, the IMI is launching two new Calls for proposals with topics on Alzheimer’s disease, big data, vaccines, autoimmune disease, the blood-brain barrier, drug development, and the exploitation of IMI project results.
Funding and Duration by Topic:
Call 11 – Total budget EUR 5M
Exploitation of IMI project results – 24 months
Call 12 – Total budget EUR 126M
Alzheimer’s disease – 36 months
Big Data (2 topics) – 36 & 60 months, respectively
Vaccines – 60 months
Sjörgren’s syndrome – 72 months
Blood-brain barrier – 60 months
Screening library – 60 months
Eligibility: Projects must be joint involving at least three legal entities (e.g., institutions or enterprises), each in a different Member State or Associated Country.

Stage 2 Deadline (Call 12 only): 16 May 2018
Stage 2 Notifications (Call 12 only): October 2018
