INVITATION
We are thrilled to invite you to the kick-off of the Theoretical Biology Network in Western Switzerland (TheBioNet)
on November 26 2019, 15:00-19:00, in Biophore at UNIL
Our aim is to build a community of researchers working on diverse topics in mathematical and theoretical biology in Western Switzerland. We are planning to hold seminars approximately four times a year and to give a platform in particular to PhD students and postdocs. More advanced researchers are of course also welcome to join.
Program
15:00-16:30 Seminar (amphitheatre BIO 2914)
15:00 Welcome and presentation of the initiative
15:30 Rachel Jeitziner (CHUV) Two-Tier Mapper: a topological tool for the analysis of biological data
16:00 Tadeas Priklopil (UNIL) Modelling evolution in structured populations
16:30-19:00 Open poster session and apero (Biophore hall)
Bring your poster and share your ideas with other researchers – the posters are aimed to spark discussion on your research and do not need to be finished-and-polished. Work in progress is very welcome and encouraged.
Registration required (free)
We are looking forward to hearing from you,
