My talk is about making a sociology called 'institutional ethnography' that rejects the dominance of theory and starts with people in their everyday lives. It learns from them and builds inquiries to discover how relations extending beyond the local and entering into and organizing the everyday, are actually being put together. It makes knowledge of the social, like a map, that people can use to extend their own.
