A muon, a heavy brother of an electron, might be hiding an important secret about the birth of the Universe, according to Grand Unified Theories.
Decays of tens of trillions of muons have been studied by the MEG experiment at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) to discover the secret.
In this talk the status and prospects of such experimental endeavor including other experiments being prepared in Switzerland, the US and Japan, are presented.
