A l'occasion du symposium international Latsis EPFL 2011 "Mapping Ethics. New trends in Cartography and Social Responsability, Bruno Latour, sociologue, philosophe des sciences et directeur scientifique à Sciences Po Paris propose une réflexion sur le devenir des sciences sociales à l'heure du numérique.
"The paper will build upon some of the new experiences internauts have in navigating through digital "profiles" to offer an alternative to the mapping of collective action. This "monadological" alternative first envisaged by Gabriel Tarde at the end of the 19th century is being rendered operationnal by the development of some innovative tools of cartography and visualisation."
