Notch signaling is a highly conserved cell-cell communication pathway with multiple roles in health and disease. The seminar will describe emerging work about the role of Notch signaling in T cell immunity, including the non-redundant effects of individual Notch receptors and ligands in T cell alloimmunity; the cellular source(s) of Notch ligands in secondary lymphoid organs; and the molecular mechanisms of Notch action in T cells. Our goal is to provide fundamental information about Notch signaling in immunobiology and translational insights into the Notch pathway as a therapeutic target in immune-mediated disorders.
