PEACETECH HACKATHON 2026 - MISINFORMATION, DISINFORMATION AND HATE SPEECH (MDH)

Misinformation, disinformation and hate speech (MDH) are escalating global threats that undermine social cohesion, fuel polarization, and can incite real-world violence, including gender-based harm. The urgency to act has never been greater. To help counter this growing threat, the EssentialTech Centre is organizing the second edition of its PeaceTech Hackathon on MDH.

Over two days, actors from diverse academic, technical, and professional backgrounds, will gather at EPFL Campus in Lausanne to address real-world challenges proposed by international organizations and NGOs, creating tools and strategies that can be scaled to make a tangible impact on society. The best solutions will receive tailored support to incubate their solutions.
