This Quantum transitional call aims to provide funding for researchers in Switzerland excluded from quantum topics of the Horizon Europe call (“Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the green deal” part of the Cluster 4). This exclusion is due to Switzerland’s status as a non-associated third country in Horizon Europe and due to strengthened principles of technological sovereignty of the EU. The federal government has mandated the SNSF to launch this Quantum Transitional Call funding scheme. The budget available is of CHF 24 Mio. There is an intense activity in the field of quantum sciences at EPFL. This is an unmissable opportunity for our institution.
